Today’s employment market for intellectually challenging, rewarding work in government or with international organizations is exceptionally competitive. Even highly qualified professionals with experience and advanced academic credentials can feel frustrated about pursuing new career options in this climate. Many are seeking promotions, applying for secondments, or considering a career change for the first time in years, and are uncertain how to package their background.
To enable you to get and hold the attention of influential contacts or busy human resources managers inundated by applications, we work with you personally to: boost your image with an incisive, attractive resumé; develop online applications or cover letters, as required, tailored specifically to job requirements; craft a solid verbal "sales pitch"; and help you plan how to pursue jobs that match your objectives.
Personal Coaching Program:
We take you through a detailed critique of your most recent resumé, providing precise examples of how to improve substance, structure and visual appeal
We query you to extract overlooked assets that will appeal to institutional employers
We train you in techniques to plan and write a convincing online application and/or cover letter, and provide sample templates
We explain the art of selecting, displaying and priming your references to influence employers favourably
We show you proven tactics to impress interviewers with a succinct “sales pitch” and answers to competency-based questions, explaining your suitability adeptly in terms of their needs
Who Can Benefit from this Program?
Clients we have assisted come from many backgrounds: lawyers, business executives, engineers, journalists, non-tenured university and college faculty and students, ESL and FSL teachers, NGO officers, entry level and serving Canadian and American diplomats up to and including the EX/Head of Post rank, other government officials, political staff, and qualified individuals re-entering the workforce.
Note: We are not a head-hunting or job-finding agency.
